Hibernia Real Estate Group announces changes to Senior Management Team

Hibernia Real Estate Group (“Hibernia”) has today announced that Edwina Governey will become Chief Executive Officer and Michael Griffith will become Chief Investment Officer with effect from 1 January 2026.

Edwina was appointed Chief Investment Officer in 2019 and has been a key contributor to the execution of Hibernia’s investment strategy since joining in 2014.  She will succeed Tom Edwards-Moss who has been with Hibernia for over 11 years and has played a central role in the growth of the business and its takeover by Brookfield in 2022.  Following a handover period, he will leave the business in early 2026 to pursue opportunities in the UK.

Concurrent with Edwina taking over as Chief Executive Officer, Michael Griffith will be appointed Chief Investment Officer, having led the Investment Team on an interim basis in 2025.

“I am thrilled to be appointed Chief Executive Officer and I look forward to leading the team. I am also very pleased Michael will be succeeding me as Chief Investment Officer; he has performed the role brilliantly during my maternity leave.
“On behalf of everyone at Hibernia, I would like to thank Tom for his significant contribution to the success of the business and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Edwina Governey

“I am delighted Edwina is succeeding me as Chief Executive Officer. She has great knowledge of the Dublin market and is an outstanding leader. Both Edwina and Michael have worked at Hibernia for many years and their promotion is a testament to their hard work and ability and to the strength of our team.
“I have enjoyed my time at Hibernia immensely and I wish Edwina, Michael and the rest of the team every success in future.”

Tom Edwards-Moss
